Chinese chipmaker CXMT has officially started mass production of LPDDR6 memory, aiming to debut the technology in Xiaomi's upcoming 18 Fold smartphone this September.
The company reported first-half revenue of 150.3 billion yuan ($22.4 billion), an 874% year-on-year increase, following a 57.9 billion yuan ($8.6 billion) IPO in Shanghai.
While CXMT claims a lead in commercial deployment, industry officials note that Xiaomi's initial shipment target of 200,000 to 300,000 units suggests actual production capacity remains limited compared to global rivals.
