Union Health Minister JP Nadda chaired a review meeting on Friday in New Delhi to assess national preparedness for H1N1 influenza amid a rise in reported cases.
The meeting included Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh and hospital officials, focusing on surveillance, testing capacity, and the availability of hospital beds and critical-care facilities.
Medical experts noted that while current H1N1 activity is largely outpatient-based, they advised high-risk groups, including older adults and those with chronic conditions, to seek prompt medical attention.
