The U.S. Justice Department has seized domains used by two hacking platforms, QScan and QTRouter, to disrupt a long-running cyber espionage campaign linked to China-based Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company.
The operation targeted sensitive U.S. government entities including the Justice Department, NASA, the Federal Reserve, and the U.S. Senate, with activity dating back to at least 2018.
The hacking group reportedly served clients including China's Ministry of State Security and the People’s Liberation Army, though the Chinese Embassy in Washington did not respond to requests for comment.
