EU Says Much Work Needed For Ukraine Peace Deal Following Trump Remarks

The European Union stated on Friday that a lot of work is still needed to reach a peace deal in Ukraine and that the bloc will decide its own security matters.

The remarks came after U.S. President Donald Trump predicted a very big deal with Russia involving the Ukraine war and all of Europe.

EU spokeswoman Paula Pinho emphasized that willingness must come from the side that first started the war, while NATO officials participated in discussions in Brussels.
