A Colombo court rejected the bail plea of former India U19 cricketer Manjot Kalra, who remains in custody until July 31 over match-fixing allegations in the Lanka Premier League.
The investigation, led by Sri Lanka's Special Investigation Unit for the Prevention of Offences Relating to Sports, now involves five players who reported being approached by suspects.
The league's commercial rights holder terminated the franchise agreement for Jaffna Kings on July 23, though the team continues to compete under the same name.
