Delhi Court Orders Fresh Hearing in Sonia Gandhi Voter Roll Case

A Delhi court allowed a revision plea on Monday challenging a September 2025 Magistrate's order that had refused to probe allegations regarding Congress leader Sonia Gandhi's electoral roll entry.

Special Judge Vishal Gogne quashed the Magisterial Court's order as non-speaking, noting that the Magistrate digressed toward citizenship instead of examining if the complaint disclosed a cognisable offence.

The court remanded the matter back to the Magistrate to pass a reasoned order under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, scheduling further proceedings for September 29.
