Aryna Sabalenka defeated Jessica Pegula 7-5, 6-2 to reach the US Open final, while Elena Rybakina overcame Coco Gauff 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the semi-finals.
Rybakina will become the highest-ranked player in the WTA charts for the first time when rankings update on Monday, succeeding Sabalenka as world No.1.
This marks the first time in 13 years that the top two tournament seeds have reached the US Open women's singles final.
