Bihar Government to Withdraw All FIRs Against NEET Protesters

The Bihar government announced on July 27, 2026, that it will immediately withdraw all FIRs and criminal complaints filed against individuals involved in the recent NEET paper leak protests.

Authorities confirmed that 694 people were detained during the July 25 bandh, with 339 minors released and 355 others booked under various charges before the government's decision to drop cases.

The Home Department stated that no punitive action will be taken against any protester who participated before 6 p.m. on July 26, 2026, and all currently arrested individuals will be released immediately.
