India's Public EV Charging Consumption Surges by 72%

Public electric vehicle (EV) charging consumption in India has increased by 72%, signaling a rapid shift toward sustainable transportation.

The growth is supported by the FAME-II scheme, which has facilitated the sale of 16.72 lakh electric vehicles across the country.

Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana have emerged as the leading hubs for EV manufacturing and infrastructure adoption in the current fiscal year.
