US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated he does not believe India and Iran are currently negotiating a trade deal following a meeting between PM Narendra Modi and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Rubio warned that any country helping Iran bypass US sanctions or creating revenue-generating mechanisms for Tehran could face secondary sanctions from the United States.
PM Modi and President Pezeshkian discussed regional stability and trade expansion during the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
