Foreign portfolio investors turned net sellers in September, pulling out ₹35,860 crore from Indian equities amid global uncertainties and elevated U.S. interest rates.
The September outflows followed net investments of ₹20,200 crore in July and ₹29,630 crore in August, continuing the selling trend into October.
Total FPI withdrawals from Indian equities have reached about ₹2.7 lakh crore so far in 2026, driven by weak rupee trends and crude price risks.
