Rani Mukerji Receives Honorary Doctorate from La Trobe University

Actress Rani Mukerji was conferred an Honorary Doctor of Letters by La Trobe University in recognition of her three-decade career and humanitarian contributions to Indian cinema.

Mukerji is the second Indian film personality to receive this honor from the Australian institution, following Shah Rukh Khan, who was awarded a doctorate in 2019.

The university acknowledged her consistent choice of projects that address social issues and women's empowerment, noting her role as an ambassador for Indian culture on global platforms.
