Amazon Makes Fresh White-Collar Job Cuts Primarily in Retail Division

Amazon confirmed on Wednesday that it cut a small number of white-collar jobs, primarily affecting its Stores unit overseeing the e-commerce website.

Executive chairman Jeff Bezos stated in a Fox News interview that job reductions continue because the company overhired during the pandemic.

The latest cuts coincide with the Prime Big Deal Days shopping event and follow a larger round of 30,000 job reductions that began last year.
