Serum Institute of India's recombinant Quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus vaccine Cervavac received prequalification from the World Health Organization.
The inclusion on the WHO list allows United Nations agencies to procure the vaccine, which is indicated for girls and boys aged 9 through 26 years.
Developed in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology and BIRAC, Cervavac targets HPV types 6, 11, 16, and 18 to prevent cervical, anal, and other associated cancers.
