U.S. House Advances Russia Sanctions Bill Targeting India With Tariffs

The U.S. House of Representatives advanced a Russia sanctions Bill in a 214-211 vote on Tuesday, with a final vote scheduled for Wednesday.

The legislation authorises President Donald Trump to impose 100 percent tariffs on countries buying Russian oil and gas, including India and China.

The U.S. Senate previously passed the legislation with an 86-11 majority on August 7, targeting Moscow's energy sector and trade partners.
