India dismissed Pakistan's move to raise the bounty for Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a gimmick and phoney announcement during a press briefing on Tuesday.
Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency named Azhar in its 2026 most-wanted list, increasing the reward for his capture from PKR 20 lakh to PKR 70 lakh.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal urged Islamabad to take concrete action instead of making hollow announcements ahead of the October FATF plenary.
