Standard Chartered chief investment officer Manpreet Gill stated that gold prices could be at the start of a fresh rally, approaching $5,000 over the next six to 12 months.
Gold prices have risen roughly 70% from ₹76,308 per 10 grams on January 1, 2025, to ₹1,53,045, driven heavily by persistent central bank demand.
Gill noted that silver is more closely tied to industrial economic cycles and higher volatility, making gold mining equities a preferable risk-reward option.
