The Jammu & Kashmir Students Association has requested Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to appoint a permanent principal for Sainik School Manasbal, which has lacked dedicated leadership for five years.
The institution currently operates with only 350 students against an intake capacity of 480, facing significant challenges including faculty shortages and declining CBSE academic performance.
The association recommends that the government recruit a retired Army officer as principal and conduct a comprehensive review of the school's residential and academic infrastructure.
