Iran Guards say they struck supertanker in Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Revolutionary Guards' navy stated that a supertanker was hit and caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday.

The targeted ship had reportedly tried to cross the waterway by disabling transponders and ignoring warnings from the Guards' Navy.

The Strait of Hormuz has been under an Iranian blockade since February following US and Israel strikes against the Islamic republic.
