Punjab Police and central agencies secured the deportation of wanted gangster Gurwinder alias Afridi from Ethiopia following a 10-month international manhunt under Operation SHAHID.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that a reward of ₹5 lakh was previously announced for information leading to the arrest of the key kingpin of the Doni Bal-Prabh Dassuwal gang.
Preliminary investigations indicate the accused was allegedly directing targeted killings, extortion-related firing, and organised criminal activities in Punjab from abroad.
