A 33-year-old passenger was booked after allegedly tampering with an emergency exit door lever cover on an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Pune.
The incident triggered a mid-air alarm and panic among passengers shortly after the aircraft took off on Monday morning.
Police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Aircraft Act, serving a notice to the passenger.
