A 48-year-old woman, Jaiwanti, died after being struck by a speeding BMW while crossing the road in the Delhi Cantonment area on Tuesday afternoon.
Police arrested the driver, identified as Deepak, within two hours of the incident, which occurred at approximately 12 pm near Mehram Nagar.
The victim's family blocked the road for three hours demanding justice, as the accused faces charges of rash driving and causing death by negligence.
