Indian grandmaster Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu defeated Fabiano Caruana 15-13 to win the 2026 Grand Chess Tour Finals after overcoming a six-point deficit on the final day.
Praggnanandhaa earned $200,000 for the victory, while both finalists secured automatic invitations to the 2027 Grand Chess Tour.
The 21-year-old secured the title after winning two rapid games and scoring evenly across four blitz encounters against Caruana on Thursday.
