A recent Kerala Government Order dropped six Water Metro terminals in Kochi, reducing the planned total from 38 to 33.
The dropped terminals include Thevara, Aster, Amrita, Kothad, Cheriyamthuruth, and Mulavukad due to operational and land availability concerns.
Critics and local politicians criticized the decision, arguing it will hamper water transport connectivity and southward expansion of the service.
