Indian benchmark indices opened higher on Tuesday, extending a recovery from the previous session ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's monetary policy decision.
The Nifty and Sensex rose about 0.6% and 0.7% respectively in the previous session, rebounding from their longest weekly losing streak in 25 years.
Market consensus anticipates a 25-basis-point rate hike by the central bank, which would mark its first increase since February 2023.
