Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney held a phone call on Tuesday, agreeing to conclude a trade agreement soon as senior Canadian Ministers visited Delhi.
The Prime Ministers discussed defence, security, energy, and agriculture, reaffirming their commitment to conclude negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and double two-way trade by 2030.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to Canada in mid-December for his first bilateral visit in over a decade to announce the trade agreement.
