Brothers Ajay Pal Sharma and Amit Pal Sharma from Ludhiana cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination and joined the civil services five years apart.
Elder brother Ajay Pal Sharma, a dental surgery graduate, became a 2011-batch IPS officer in the Uttar Pradesh cadre, while younger brother Amit Pal Sharma completed an MBBS before becoming a 2016-batch IAS officer.
Both officers have held notable administrative and policing positions in Uttar Pradesh, including district magistrate and police commissionerate roles.
