
Indian pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated Malaysia’s Junaidi Arif and Roy King Yap 21-23, 21-19, 21-17 in a round of 16 match at the BWF World Championships in New Delhi.
The match lasted one hour and 20 minutes, securing the Indian duo a spot in the quarterfinals against third seeds Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang.
The victory on Thursday keeps the Indian pair in contention for the title, following a hard-fought comeback after losing the opening game of the pre-quarterfinal clash.
