Explosions rang out in Riyadh on Sunday as the kingdom prepared to reopen its international airport following a two-week closure caused by repeated Houthi strikes.
The Saudi-led coalition stated it intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched toward Riyadh alongside two drones in the capital area, while Houthi officials warned airlines that the facility remained unsafe.
The airport's reopening comes after an earlier Houthi attack this month killed 13 people and wounded more than 300, marking the deadliest strike in the kingdom in over a decade.
