Kerala Health Department Issues Circular On Hospital Medicine Stocks

The Kerala Health Department issued a circular directing health services and medical education directors to maintain uninterrupted treatment and accurate stock monitoring in government hospitals.

The directive requires hospitals to provide an updated list of available medicine stocks to outpatient department doctors so they can prescribe available pharmaceuticals using generic names.

Additionally, hospitals must submit a chemical reagent stock report every two weeks and utilize Hospital Development Committee funds to procure missing laboratory testing materials.
