IIT Ropar signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Army Air Defence College in Gopalpur to award MTech degrees in Defence Technology to Indian Army officers.

The agreement builds upon an earlier MoU signed in December 2022 between IIT Ropar and the Army Training Command.

Army officers enrolled in the Long Air Defence Course will receive academic accreditation, faculty mentorship for dissertations, and access to institute laboratories.
