Parents of Deceased IIT Bombay Student File Petition Seeking CBI Probe

Ravindra C. Wakode and Sonali Wakode filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking a transfer of the investigation into their son Sahil Wakode's death to the CBI or an SIT.

Sahil Wakode, a 20-year-old student, died on September 18 after being removed from an examination hall by Professor Suryanarayan Doolla over alleged academic malpractice.

The parents allege that Sahil faced torture and casteist slurs from institute authorities, and their petition seeks to secure all CCTV footage from the date of the incident.
