Eastern York High School Reopens After Tornado Damage

Eastern York High School will resume in-person classes on Monday, August 31, 2026, following an EF2 tornado that caused extensive damage to the facility on August 20.

Lower Windsor Township has granted temporary occupancy for the building, allowing students and staff to return while construction continues in specific damaged sections.

Superintendent Dr. Joseph Mancuso confirmed the reopening, noting that the district prioritized safety checks and building restoration to ensure the campus was ready for instruction.
