DMK president M.K. Stalin urged President Droupadi Murmu to refer a memorandum seeking action against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to Parliament.
The letter highlights the deletion of 97.37 lakh electors from Tamil Nadu's electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision conducted in 2025.
Stalin demanded that the final rolls from the revision be set aside, pre-revision rolls be restored, and the ECI be advised against using the 2026 rolls for upcoming elections.
