Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar warned that the state government will take action against private firms found deliberately sidelining Kannadigas.
The warning followed complaints that native Kannada speakers were being denied job opportunities in Bengaluru's IT companies.
The state previously considered a proposed reservation bill in July 2024 before placing it temporarily on hold following industry backlash.
