Union Minister Nitin Gadkari addressed controversy surrounding the ₹7,000 crore Mumbai-Pune Expressway 'Missing Link' project, clarifying that the state government was responsible for the initial road construction.
Gadkari stated that the project, which aims to make the route congestion-free, has seen no potholes in 27 years, countering criticism regarding the project's structural integrity and delays.
The Minister emphasized that his ministry is now focused on developing a comprehensive road network around Pune to alleviate traffic, dismissing reports that blamed him for state-level infrastructure failures.
