Celebrity chef Kunal Kapur shared a step-by-step recipe on Instagram for traditional ukadiche modak ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
The recipe requires equal parts milk and water mixed with ghee, salt, and rice flour to prepare a soft and pliable outer dough.
The filling combines grated coconut, crushed jaggery, poppy seeds, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, saffron, and nuts before being shaped and steamed for 10 to 12 minutes.
