Amazon confirmed it cut a small number of jobs in its Stores business on Tuesday following a major restructuring of its retail operations.
The latest reduction affects fewer than 1,000 employees across marketplace support, customer service, and engineering roles in India and the UK.
The cost-cutting drive coincides with Amazon's plans to increase capital expenditures significantly with a $220 billion investment in data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
