Hamas Negotiator Travels to Cairo Ahead of Kushner Visit

Hamas chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya arrived in Cairo for talks with Egyptian officials ahead of a planned visit by U.S. envoy Jared Kushner next week.

The diplomatic push follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s formal rejection last Sunday of a 15-point plan involving the disarmament of Hamas.

Official Palestinian data reports that over 1,250 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since October 2025, with the total death toll since October 2023 exceeding 73,300.
