Apple plans to unveil its first foldable smartphone, reportedly named the iPhone Ultra, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models in September 2026.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, manufacturing challenges will delay pre-orders of the $2,299 to $2,499 foldable device until the fourth quarter of 2026.
Apple's suppliers are projected to ship 7 million to 8 million foldable iPhones in 2026, compared to 20 million to 22 million units for the iPhone 18 Pro models.
