The Indian government officially rejected a recommendation by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) to impose sanctions on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
New Delhi dismissed the report as biased and lacking credibility, noting that the commission has consistently ignored India's democratic processes and constitutional protections.
The rejection comes ahead of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's planned outreach tour to the US, Canada, and the UK, marking a firm stance against foreign interference in domestic socio-political organizations.
