Sonam Wangchuk to Lead 20-Km Ladakh March on September 23

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk will lead a 20-km padayatra in Leh on September 23 to remind the Centre of its promises to Ladakh.

The march was shortened from Kargil due to changing weather and serves as a tribute to victims of the September 24, 2025, violence.

Wangchuk demanded the public release of the judicial inquiry report into the 2025 clashes and adequate compensation for affected families.
