A special NIA court in Jagdalpur sentenced all 10 convicts to death for the 2013 Jhiram Valley Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district, which killed 27 people and injured over 35.
The court found the accused guilty under the IPC, Arms Act, Explosive Substances Act, and UAPA for ambushing a Congress Parivartan Yatra convoy on NH-221.
The defence counsel stated they were unsatisfied with the verdict and would challenge the decision in the high court.
