Two dead and four injured in Mumbai electrocution near Ganesh pandal

An eight-year-old girl and a woman died, while four others suffered injuries following electrocution at a temporary drinking water stall near a Ganesh pandal in Mumbai's Lalbaug area on Sunday.

The incident occurred at around 2:20 a.m. due to a suspected short circuit at the entrance gate of the Mahaganpati Utsav Mandal in Kalachowki, prompting firefighters to cut the power supply.

The Kalachowki police have initiated a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the short circuit, while injured victims receive treatment at nearby hospitals.
