India and China Discuss LAC Understanding in Beijing Talks

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met in Beijing on August 25, 2026, to discuss improving border management and understanding of the Line of Actual Control.

The 25th Round of Special Representatives talks produced an eight-point outcome document that emphasizes resolving outstanding issues through existing diplomatic and military channels like the WMCC and local commander-level meetings.

Both nations agreed to advance discussions on boundary delimitation through an Expert Group, aiming to address sectors where alignment differences are less pronounced to prevent future misunderstandings along the border.
