US President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that oil, gas, and mineral exploration is preparing to begin in Greenland following a recently signed US-Greenland-Denmark security deal.
Trump claimed that Greenland possesses easily available oil amounts far greater than almost anywhere else in the world, though he did not provide American involvement details.
Under the 10-page security pact signed in September, the United States will establish two new military bases in Narsarsuaq and Mestersvig alongside its existing Pituffik base.
