National Security Advisor Ajit Doval arrived in Beijing on August 24, 2026, to lead the 25th round of Special Representative talks on the India-China boundary question.

Doval is scheduled to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on August 25 and will also call on Vice-President Han Zheng to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.

The high-level visit precedes the September 12 BRICS Summit in India, where Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to travel following the normalisation of ties since October 2024.
