Rahul Gandhi and Opposition Leaders Detained During Protest Against CEC

INDIA bloc MPs led by Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi staged a protest on Tuesday demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The eight-hour standoff ended with police detaining Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and several other opposition leaders after a sit-in at Akashvani Bhavan.

The opposition intensified protests following an investigation revealing that Election Commissioners objected multiple times to steps taken by the CEC.
