India and Myanmar to Hold Defence Dialogue in Guwahati

India and Myanmar will hold their third annual defence cooperation meeting in Guwahati on October 7, 2026, marking the first time the dialogue takes place in India's Northeast.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Indian Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and his Myanmar counterpart, who will arrive with an official delegation.

Discussions will focus on border security challenges along the 1,643-km border, including insurgent movements, arms trafficking, narcotics, and bilateral training initiatives.
