A Kerala High Court Division Bench allowed an appeal by the Vice-Chancellor and Syndicate against a single-bench order allowing 16 suspended SFI students to write semester exams.
The students were suspended following a campus protest on August 13, 2026, during which authorities alleged the Vice-Chancellor's car was damaged and she was manhandled.
The university decided to conditionally withdraw suspensions for 12 students upon an unconditional apology, but aggrieved activists have approached the Supreme Court after refusing to apologize.
